Yesterday I received some brief information about the family i'll be staying with. I've been anxiously awaiting this email for months now! I'll be staying with a family of 4. The two kids are both boys under 10. I can't wait to meet them! Now I'm brainstorming what kinds of fun "welcome presents" i'll bring. :) My house seems to be in a pretty convenient location, just 10 minutes from school and about 5 from down town Christchurch by car (according to google maps). I also got some great intel from a friend who visited Christchurch last semester that I should consider "hiring" a bike when I get there. Apparently hire=rent... i'm sure there will be plenty of new phrases to learn during the next 5 weeks. Can't wait!
